Dear Brothers & Sisters,
Passover is one of the 3 FEASTS, which the Bible tells us, we
will have for eternity, even
after we’re raptured. You can read
about Passover starting thru Exodus 12:1- 39
Exodus
12:24
“And
you shall observe this thing as
an ordinance for you and your sons forever.”
As Christians, we
celebrate this feast to remind us
where we came from – eternal death TO eternal LIFE .
We are the body of Christ, so we are not foreigners. Jesus represented the Passover Lamb in their
days, as He does for us today.
The 12 tribes living in
Egypt celebrated for several reasons. Their yoke became lighter when they walked
with Abba, they were set free from ALL bondage, and for 40 years they relearned
who their God was; which was needed after 430 years of learning/following Egyptian idols, they had to renew their minds too.
We Christians
celebrate:
1
Corinthians 5:7-8
7
“Therefore purge out the old leaven [sin], that you may be a new
lump, since you truly are unleavened
[sinless/forgiven new people]. For indeed
Christ, our Passover was sacrificed for us.”
8 “Therefore
let us keep the feast, not with old
leaven [sin], nor with the leaven of
malice and wickedness, but with
the unleavened bread of
sincerity and truth.”
You’ll also find much
in the book of Luke, Chapter 22.
Passover for Israel is the 14th day of their New
Year, which is Nisan meaning “the beginning.” This is the first month, with Jesus’ death; for us, can mean our first born-again month available. A
new beginning for each child of Abba, to accept what Jesus
accomplished in His life on earth, His death and His resurrection for us.
We in our Lords’ Bible
Study celebrate 4 Feasts a year now. 1)
Passover, 2) 50 days later Pentecost, 3) Trumpets and 4) Tabernacles. These Feasts are parties or
celebrations for what we have, and what’s to come, except Passover – that’s to
remember what Jesus did for us so we could be accepted forgiven/sinless in Abba’s
Kingdom. The only other holiday we do is “the 9th of Tish’a B’Av”, also called “the 9th
of Av" we don’t gather for this, but fast at least one meal, and pray at home
for Israel that day.
Remember…
Genesis
12:3
“I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you [Israel ] all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you [
I must tell you, being
non-Jewish, the first year we did Passover, we tried the Jewish
way. This was very uncomfortable because
Jesus is excluded. The next year we
followed the Messianic way – this was better, so we've done it that way for the
last 6 years.
This year, I found on YouTube, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn teaching both ways, step by step, explaining each one
and it seemed so natural, I decided to watch this as we have our Passover dinner
with him – step by step.
The only thing
missing is that the Bible says we should never go to a King and without a
gift. We’ve always given an individual
Love offering to one of the 3 churches, represented in the bible study. Now we have 4 different churches represented
and 4 feasts [including Trumpets] – so we bless each church. PTL!
Deuteronomy
16:16
“Three times a year all your
males shall appear before the LORD your
God in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast
of Tabernacles; and they shall
not appear before the LORD empty-handed.”
If you’re wondering how
different denominations can learn together, it’s easy, I only teach the
application of the Bible to equip the saints – no man made laws/rules, for we
are one in the spirit – without division, all Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
If you’re wondering how
different denominations can learn together, it’s easy, we only teach the
application of the Bible to equip the saints – no man made [denominational] laws/rules, for we
are one in the spirit – no division all Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Teachers maybe in some versions last on the
list, but it’s what He’s called and trained me to do plus my name Sandra in Hebrew means, "helper of mankind."
Ephesians
4:11-13
11. “And his gifts were that some should be
apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors
and teachers,
12.
to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building
up the body of Christ,
13.
until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of
the knowledge of the Son of God, to
mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.”
Why don’t you try a
Passover Dinner, to celebrate your born-again experience in the Lord? The main rules we follow are: Lamb is the
only meat served, have NOTHING with any leavening; baking powder, baking soda,
yeast or anything that makes what you cook rise.
Watch Rabbi Cahn yourself at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2LysEMaXHw
It’s 1 hour and 27 minutes long, but
worth it and – it’s great fellowship and a time to remember where we were and
now, where we are! Send me an email and let me know if you liked the teaching, and had Passover in your house or church.
As alway, I pray: Ephesians 1:18-19 for you.
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His
calling, what are the riches of the glory of His
inheritance in the saints, and what
is the surpassing
greatness of His power toward
us who believe. These are in accordance with the working
of the strength of His might”
