Our Lessons in Matthew will always
contain topics such as; Life, Healings, Miracles and Deliverance. Throughout
Matthew. Today we'll learn; His
Word is telling us about; The Twelve Disciples Instructions For Service,
A Hard Road
So hang in there, - Abba [God], does not want His children to
have lack of knowledge, so Jesus told us what it's like in Heaven, so we can
preach/live it on the earth.

10:1-8 The Twelve Disciples Instructions For
Service:

[Matthew 10:1-4 NKJV] 1 And
when He had called His twelve disciples to [Him], He gave them power [over] unclean spirits, to cast them out, and
to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. 2 "Now the
names of the twelve apostles are these: first, Simon, who is called Peter,
and Andrew his brother; James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3 Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the [son] of Alphaeus, and
Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
4 Simon the Cananite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him."

This Scripture should read - "and the
disciples of the Church days to come should...."!
o
Are you surprised to know, Jesus by his
birth; death and resurrection has
given these same powers to you - through the Holy Spirit [HS]? The power did not come to the Disciples,
until they met after Jesus' Resurrection and Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit into
them.

20:21-24, 29 NKJV] 21 "So
Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I
also send you." 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on [them], and said to
them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.
23 "If you forgive the sins
of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the [sins] of any, they
are retained." 24 Now Thomas, called the Twin, one of the twelve,
was not with them when Jesus came. ... 29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas,
because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed [are] those who have not seen and [yet] have believed."

So the Disciples received the POWER from the HS
- also remember last Sunday, [Matthew
9:3-5] Jesus said to the man, "Your
sins are forgiven" We have that
same power - IN JESUS' NAME. Truthfully, I've never done this - but if I
see a brother/sister who sins, I have asked the Lord to forgive them. Now that I know He will forgive the sins
of someone I'm praying for to be healed another step to use - Just goes to
show you - you're NEVER to old to learn!

Power comes from the HS and Jesus - [2 in
agreement] [Matthew 18:19 NKJV] "Again
I say to you that if two of you
agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them
by My Father in heaven."
o
Bottom line is - YOU and I, with the agreement
of Jesus and the HS, have the POWER to accomplish what Jesus did in 10:1 - are
you shocked, Abba made this available to you?
Neither Abba or Jesus lie, so accept it, and work His Word. "He gave them power [over] unclean spirits,
to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease."

[Matthew
10:5-8 NKJV] 5 "These twelve
Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: "Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the
Samaritans. 6 "But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel
o
Samaritans Meaning = The
king of Assyria , had sent colonists from Babylon land of Samaria
o
That means, that Samaria 4:22 ]. Jesus did not
want them to even enter a city [none] that the Samaritans started.
o
Finally their job was to preach; 'The
kingdom of heaven is at hand.' 8 "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise
the dead, cast out demons. No
wonder they were in one place so long.
We have an easier time and ways to spread His Word, with all of our
technology today. I wonder, is that
Jesus meant when He said "Greater works will you do" [John 14:12 ]

You'll
also notice, that charging for preaching is a NO-NO. Covering their expenses for going to another
church or town and asking for an offering is OK I believe.

[Matthew
10:9-13 NKJV] 9 "Provide
neither gold nor silver nor copper in your money belts, 10 "nor bag for
[your] journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor staffs; for a worker is worthy of his food. 11
"Now whatever city or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there till you go out. 12
"And when you go into a household, greet it. 13 "If the household is worthy, let your peace
come upon it. But if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you."

You don't need to take
much with you when you go away from home, unless you're doing a revival for
weeks. Extra clothes would be beneficial
- back in the old days, the women of the house would wash their clothes and
feed them. Today it's usually those
wanting you to minister that take you out to eat and provide a hotel or home
for you to stay at. Either way, bless
those that provide your needs.

Find out what
arrangements are being made, before you get there. Always bless them for the help and provisions
offered. If they were not worthy, your
peace offering would still be returned.

[Matthew 10:14-15 NKJV] 14 "And
whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from
that house or city, shake off the
dust from your feet. 15 "Assuredly,
I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom Gomorrah
o
Those unwilling to
hear your words, either have a very hardened heart, or they are under the
control of the twerp [satan]. That's why
the Word says " it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom Gomorrah
o
Needless to say; Lot and his
family were told - NOT TO LOOK BACK after they left. Unfortunately, Lot 's wife ignored
that warning, and she turned into a pillar of salt. It's not wise to disobey Abba, when He gives
you any instruction. He has His reasons,
and you or I don't always need to know them.
Just do as He says and you'll be safe.
16-18 A
Hard Road Before Them

[Matthew 10:16-18 NKJV] 16 "Behold,
I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. 17 "But
beware of men, for they will deliver
you up to councils and scourge you in their synagogues. 18 "You
will be brought before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles."

Jesus sent His
disciples as sheep, not due to lack of knowledge - but they had to be
careful. Once they accepted Jesus - they
received the "Gifts of the Spirit". There is a purpose to each gift, usually for
ministry - which means functioning in any of these gifts of the Spirit, you'll
be more mature in your Word; [knowledge, understanding, wisdom] and
application.

Never doubt there is a
purpose for various situations you may find yourself in - The Lord always makes
a way, when you don't see one. Look at
all the apostles, I don't know of anyone today that has come anywhere near what
they went through to preach the Gospel.

Corinthians 12:4-11 NKJV] 4 "There
are diversities of gifts, but the
same Spirit. 5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And
there are diversities of activities, but
it is the same God who works all in all. 7 But the manifestation
of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit [of all]: 8 for
to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through
the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit,
to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning
of spirits, to another [different] kinds of tongues,
to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the
same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He
wills."
Note the gift of discerning of spirits. Why do you think that's necessary? Look at Acts 5:3-6. What happened to Ananias and his wife. We're told that when they lied to Peter, he called them out saying, " why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back [part] of the price of the land for yourself?" The house, selling it or not; the money he received was his and what he gave the church was up to him, not Peter. So what made him lie? Ego, pride, self-worth? Your choice.
Note the gift of discerning of spirits. Why do you think that's necessary? Look at Acts 5:3-6. What happened to Ananias and his wife. Whatever gift of the Spirit you have, it's given by the
same Lord; Spirit and God. Whatever Gift your ministry needs - they'll
make sure you'll have it. It's the
Trinity at it's finest work.

[Matthew 10:19-23 NKJV] 19 "But
when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour
what you should speak; 20 "for
it is not you who speak, but the
Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. 21 "Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father
[his] child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put
to death. 22 "And you will be hated by all for My name's
sake. But he who endures to the end
will be saved. 23 "When
they persecute you in this city, flee
to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel
o
Bless the Lord, for IF
we are delivered up to the courts unjustly, we need not worry about what to
say. The HS will tell us in that very
hour, saying in us, the Words needed.
o
WOE to the families
who attack each other. Opposites are
still opposite - they will not mix. You
cannot say you're light [Christianly] and be dark inside. because there is NO
LIGHT in DARKNESS [satan]! Just as Peter
saw the darkness [evil] in Ananias above.

[Isaiah 5:20 NKJV] "Woe to those who call evil good, and
good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter
for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

Many will persecute
you, especially those who have not accepted Abba, Jesus or the HS. They don't want to change; to them their
bondage is not realized. A drug or
alcoholic [or whatever] life is just fine.
If you are continually persecuted you can move to another city, because there
are a lot more who want to hear the Word of the Lord.
o
But I would recommend
you to start wearing your ARMOR of GOD daily, drawing closer and closer
to Jesus and Binding the enemy where he stands! YOU
WILL ENDURE TILL HE END! - In Jesus Name!
24-42 The Meaning Of Discipleship

[Matthew 10:24-26 NKJV] 24 "A
disciple is not above [his] teacher, nor a servant above his master.
25 "It is enough for a disciple
that he be like his teacher, and a
servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more [will they call] those of
his household! 26 "Therefore do not fear them. For there is
nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.
o
We are within the Body
of Christ; whether a toe or foot etc., we can never be above Jesus, for HE IS the HEAD! Yes, we are servants of Christ, but they DO
NOT call Jesus Beelzebub, because Jesus is our household is pure and righteous.
Ø Beelzebub means " "lord of the house," a name of satan", the prince of evil spirits.
o
Greater is HE that is
IN US, than he that is of the world. - So DO NOT FEAR any from his
household. There is nothing new under
the sun, that will not be revealed, or that he can hide from Abba.

[Matthew 10:27-28 NKJV] 27 "Whatever I tell you in the dark,
speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. 28 "And do not fear those who kill
the body but cannot kill the soul.
But rather fear Him who is able to
destroy both soul and body in hell.
o
Listen to your; angel,
HS, or Jesus when you're in a dark place - They'll speak LIGHT into you. If one of them speak in your ear, TELL THE
WORLD! Don't fear the twerp, HE CANNOT
hurt your soul. And to be absent from
the body, is to be present with the Lord [2
Corinthians 5:5-8] says that while in the flesh [alive] we are absent from
the Lord, yet when we leave these bodies, we ARE PRESENT WITH THE LORD!! AMEN!

Only Abba can destroy both the soul and body -
Greater is He. The enemy only tries to
get our body, which the Lord always stops, to keep what's His. I would caution you to:

4:1-3 NKJV] 1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits,
whether they are of God; because
many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that
Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has
come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the [spirit] of the
Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

[Matthew
10:29-31 NKJV] 29 "Are not
two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And
not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. 30
"But the very hairs of your head
are all numbered. 31 "Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
o
Is your body size
greater than 2 sparrows? Mine you can
multiply by about 100 sparrows. So, it's
not that I'm more important to Abba than any sparrow, but that He's given me
the job to teach others, what He's taught me.
Abba counts every hair on my head, He knows how many have fallen out and
He knows that I desire to finish my race before Jesus comes for us. That's why the twerp didn't win when he gave
me polio at 3 years old , when He moved me from IL to NV at 52 without any
family, He's replaced my family with a wonderful new one, who bless me
continuously. The twerp hasn't won when
he gave me a stroke, heart attack, arteries blocked in my neck, or when I fell
down the stairs. Yes, it slowed me down some, but
he can't stop me from finishing what Abba has called me to do! AMEN! Yes,
Abba keeps his eye on the sparrow and us, so why should any of us fear?

[Matthew 10:32-33 NKJV] 32 "Therefore
whoever confesses Me before men, him
I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 "But
whoever denies Me before men, him I
will also deny before My Father who is in heaven."

Here's one of my
favorite Bible versus comes in; Luke 6:38
"give and it shall be given." Abba will treat you, exactly as you treat
Him. As I've said before, Abba does not
want a bunch of spoiled brats, but an [imperfect] child who loves their Daddy
and wants to be with Him.

[Matthew 10:34-36 NKJV] 34 [Jesus said] "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.
35 "For I have come to 'set a man against his father, a daughter
against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law'; 36
"and 'a man's enemies will be those
of his [own] household.'"

Jesus came to stir up
mankind. He knew a better way to get His
Bride back, after she sinned. So Jesus
offered to REDEEMED her. Rarely does
anyone want to give up something they thought was theirs. Fortunately for us, the enemy is loosing by
the millions - and he's causing much division and hatred throughout the world
now. Keep in mind, a house divided will
fall, and PTL, we know who the winner will be!

This one I know,
because I was one of five girls growing up.
People say boys are worse than girls - don't believe it. Fight, fight and fight some more. Abba made me more the "peace maker"
in our family. Until I started going to
my grandparents home for weekends and summers - it was so much quieter
there. But I really started my studying
of the Word in my 20's and it got to the point, my "wall flower" ways
stopped, because after that, all I seemed speak was advice on what the Word
said. It was the only thing that worked
for me. I may have goofed up, BUT
ABBA NEVER DID. To this day, He's my
best friend, giving me all the peace and joy in my life. I can't wait to see what He's going to do
each day. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow's
not here - so it's one day at a time
- and with His help I'm enjoying life quite well - PTL!

[Matthew 10:37-39 NKJV] 37 "He
who loves father or mother more than
Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. Me.
o
We cannot place
ANYTHING or ANYONE above our LOVE OF GOD.
Everything else on earth is in the World [the twerp's territory]. IF YOU have not asked Jesus into your heart,
before you take your last breath - it will be to late for Jesus to redeem you
and for you to enter heaven.
o
I know there have been
many stories told about people who have come out of Hell and Jesus giving them
a second chance - but take my word - that's rare. Your chances are about a million to 1 not
very good odds. Yes, Jesus loves you,
but you have so many years and when your cup runs over with the sins from your
life - THAT'S IT! It's not that you haven't heard about Jesus or Heaven and Hell, you've just refused to make a choice. So the default is Hell. There's only 2 ways to go; up or down, and
there's only one way to get there JESUS.

[Matthew 10:40-42 NKJV] 40 "He
who receives you receives Me, and he
who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
o
As you can see above,
what Abba really wants is for us to give to, those who help others; in spirit,
soul or body and those who supply the needs of children. Holding on to a "widows mite" will
not help you here on earth, or in Heaven.
Your reward - is your pay, based on what you do here on earth. I honestly do not know if there are rewards
for what you do in Heaven.

Many laugh at me, because
at church [AOG] we support about 20-25 missionaries, I give my tithe, [which
protects the 90% left] and a weekly offering, our offerings receive a 30-60
or 100% return. But my offering is
always goes to the missionaries, supporting them in the work they do for the
Lord. Which means by this verse, I'm
getting a missionaries reward [maybe a 60-100%?] - not a bad reward; they give
up their homes, family and lifestyle to serve the Lord in a country they've
been called to. While I stay home,
ministering as a teacher both, in a weekly Bible Study and this blog 2x's a
week. But I will admit, the blog is now
being read in about 25-30 countries. The
blog use to list all countries, but now uses "unknown" for the little
countries. Oh well - Abba knows who's
reading and doing them, so I will also get some of the rewards you get - it's a
never ending circle of blessings from our Father.
I know these
chapters can get long, but has it been better taking a few scripture [bites] at
a time, discussing them in how we can put Abba first in our life and do what
pleases Him? To me, enjoying the cake is
good [but overloading sweets can upset your sugar balance], but having smaller
slices daily are more enjoyable - and lasts longer. Let me know what you think.
My prayer 4 U: Father,
in Jesus' Name I'm asking You to reveal, to Your Children, how to think
from Heaven's perspective, so we can release Heavenly
solutions in our lives and to help others, help us NOT
TO LEAD with our head, but with the heart of JESUS! - In
Jesus' Name - AMEN! and AMEN!
