Insert Your Key – Door #2 - Knowledge

SF, Stagecoach, NV
Dear Brothers & Sisters - Saved and Unsaved

Is your life to busy to attend Abba’s [God’s] school of understanding/knowledge/wisdom?  There’s no fee and it’s a lifetime of learning, which will turn into an abundant life, without leaving your house, attending at your own time each day.  Do you have high blood pressure?  Do you worry about your family, friends or loved ones, what will happen to them?
I can tell you this, NO WHERE in the Bible [your instruction book] does it say you should have high blood pressure.  Nor does it say you’re to worry about anything!  It’s in His hands, when you belong to Him.  You just ask for Jesus’ yoke and give Him yours.  Worry gone!
Hopefully you’re at a time in your life, where you're asking questions.  The only one who can give you the TRUTH is ABBA, JESUS and the HOLY SPIRIT!  Only born-again believers can understand the Bible, because the Holy Spirit will give you the understanding you need.

From Chapter 6. INSERT YOUR KEY: DOOR #2 KNOWLEDGE.............pages 121-133

Behind door #2

Hosea 4:6  “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledgeBecause you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priestSince you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”  We’re not under the law, but Abba still feels the same way when He created mankind as He does today.  So His Words are always current - they've lasted over 6,000 years now.
Isaiah 5:13  “Therefore My people go into exile for their lack of knowledge; And their honorable men are famished, And their multitude is parched with thirst.”

The next key mentioned works the door of knowledge. Hosea is not giving us probables here, but making a statement.  Without knowledge, the devil can destroy you.  If you don’t seek knowledge, you are actually rejecting God, which prevents Him from accepting you and possibly your children, since you will not tell them about Jesus, Heaven, His Kingdom or hell when you make the wrong choice.
We’re also told in Isaiah that even honorable men who loved God became captive and thirsty.  Why?  In the old days, only the Levite priest’s could read and teach.  So when they rejected knowledge, the whole nation suffered.
This is not just a spiritual law.  If a doctor has no knowledge about the body, he can hardly give advice on how to fix it.  The same holds true for every job you do.  You must get spiritual training, and that’s the Holy Spirit’s job.  The glory goes to God, but the teacher, the Holy Spirit, is a respecter of persons.  So He waits for you to ask.  If you haven’t asked the Holy Spirit to make your body a living sacrifice unto God, I would recommend that you do right now,
Without knowledge, you have no power!

Luke 11:52  “Woe to you lawyersFor you have taken away the key of knowledge; you did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.”

Knowledge is powerful.  That’s why the devil keeps trying to steal it.
[John 10:10 NASB] “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
Strong’s concordance says the definition of a lawyer is someone who could read and interpreted the Mosaic Law, just as our lawyers today interpret the laws of the land.  Leaders had the key to learn from, the Torah, but chose not to study it.  And worse, they told others their opinion instead of His Word, which locked the door between them and God’s answer.  So, the moral is “don’t settle for anything but the truth.”
It’s no different today when non-Christians tell you what they think.  It’s based on what they’ve heard, not on what God said, for they are unable to understand the Bible.  Do you really think God is going to tell someone not in the family what to do so they can be blessed?  But you can be sure the twerp will, so that you can be miserable.  Seeking understanding about the Word must come from someone who understands it.  If they do seek it, it will reflect in their words and deeds.  So pay attention to who you seek answers from.  There is no sense going to a foot doctor, when you have a heart injury.
Don’t let denominational barriers or what man says stop you from studying the Word.  Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth about any scripture you don’t understand (John 2:27).  The problem in earlier centuries, as well as today, is that too many people depend on others to give them the answers.  We must learn to seek God ourselves, because every Word of His is importantIt will help you in your daily life and bring you closer to Him.

Good versus evil

Genesis 2:9  “And out of the ground the Lord God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”

Knowledge has been around and needed since the creation of man.  God planted the tree of knowledge not to tempt Adam and Eve, but because it was a part of that perfect environment.
How can we see the perfection of God, unless we know the evil of satan?  What choice would there be if everything was good?  How can we truly make a free choice unless we see both sides?
On earth, there are two paths, good or evil, and we must choose.  Knowing them both helps us freely choose the right one and bring glory to God.  The nice thing about knowledge is that when we receive it, we’re able to repent of our wrong choices and sin no more, as Mary Magdalene did.  So our lives will daily improve with our obedience to God.

Knowledge equips you

2 Timothy 3:16-17   “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.”

Our tree of knowledge is the Bible.  If something is profitable, that means we can enlarge what we have and increase it’s value.  Maturing in Christ is not how many years you’ve been a Christian, but how much you’ve learned and applied in your life.
If you’re truly abiding in Him, then signs and wonders, or answered prayers, should be seen along with the attacks from the twerp.  I think it’s fascinating that God created a tree of knowledge and today we use the same material to print the Bible.
Knowledge does not make you perfect, despite what some may think.  But it does adequately equip you.  We will never have all the answers here on earth, but God equips us sufficiently to stand firm against the enemy while we continue His work.

God created five ministries to serve Him

Ephesians 4:11-13  “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, For the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.”
I Peter 2:9  “But you are a chosen race, A royal priesthood, A holy nation, A people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”

Paul tells us about the five-fold ministry we’ve been called to.  That’s right; you’ve been called by God to one of these jobs.  Shocking isn’t it.  Remember, each of us becomes a priest (a servant of God) to proclaim Christ and the salvation available to all through His blood.
Maturity is a prerequisite.  As a child, you were neither defined as a youth nor an adult since those definitions come with maturity.  A child is not told to “act like a lady” or “be a gentleman.”  No, they have the freedom through trial and error to learn these responsibilities first.  And that’s what God wants you to do first - get knowledge to renew your mind, strengthen your spirit, and heal your body.  As you attain the knowledge of Jesus, the Son of God, then He’ll direct your path into one of these positions to serve others.  The more knowledge you receive, the more responsibility you’ll have and the more service you’ll be required to do.  I promise, you won’t be unhappy in serving, quite the opposite, you’ll be blessed in abundance – with His Joy, that surpasses all understanding.
Many fail to realize that there is a difference between the words Savior and Lord.  Jesus becomes our Savior when we accept His sacrifice for the sins we’ve committed.  Then, Jesus becomes our Lord when we decide to follow Him.  Being saved gets us into the Kingdom of God, but making Jesus Lord of our life is when we start obeying or doing the will of God and become Christ like.  For those who only accept Jesus as their Savior, the born-again spirit stays in the baby stage and never matures.  Yes, milk will nourish you, but it’s the bread of life that sustains us and a baby cannot handle bread.

The outcome of your knowledge

Proverbs 4:6-7  “Do not forsake her, and she will guard you; Love her, and she will watch over you.  The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom; And with all your acquiring, get understanding.”

Become like Solomon, because gaining wisdom will guard you.  The reason for seeking God’s knowledge is to get out of bondage, overcome your adversity, and please Him.  Take authority over the devil.  The price of our freedom was paid by Jesus.  It’s paid!  You don’t need to keep thinking or praying over your past mistakes - YOU ARE FORGIVEN when you asked.  Take control back by agreeing with the Word, then you can move forward in your covenant with God.  As you walk with Him, He’ll protect and watch out for you.

Please your Daddy

Hebrews 11:6  “And without faith it is impossible to please Him,...”
Mark 11:24  “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you.”

Do you know why it’s important to please God?  It’s because it pleases God to bless his children.  Just as Jesus was unable to do any works in His home town, because they would not believe, neither can God bless you if you refuse to believe.  You may belong to Him, but He’s limited by His own Words in helping you if you won’t believe.  That’s another reason why so many prayers go unanswered.  It’s not His choice, but ours.

Your anointing -- the Holy Spirit

I John 2:27   “And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him.”

Our anointing came when we accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord.  This anointing is the Holy Spirit who abides in you.  As you know, I firmly believe in learning all that we can.  Whenever I’m studying something new in the Lord, I ask the Holy Spirit to give me the understanding and confirm the truth of my knowledge.  The Holy Spirit confirms in my spirit, by the voice of my conscience, what I should remember and what I should discard.  Thankfully, this keeps me on a straight and narrow path - in Him, when I listen.
Knowledge comes from understanding God’s Word.  Understanding comes from the Holy Spirit who reveals the truth of His Word.  Then wisdom comes when we do or apply God’s words correctly in our lives.  You’ll know when that happens, because you’ll have manifestations of the answers you’ve been praying for.
I truthfully cannot say that I don’t have unanswered questions, which I’m waiting to be answered.  I’ll even admit that God told me He would not give me an answer [OUCH], because it wasn’t any of my business.  Can you imagine that?  But He has always answered me one way or another when the time was right.  As a child, I wanted to be so helpful, that when my Dad would say, “I need…,” I was gone to get what he wanted, before I knew what it was.  Dumb maybe, but I was a child then.  I believe that often God waits to give us the answer, so He can prepare us first.  Also, what He wants us to do will be in His timing, not ours.  So if you have unanswered questions, like me, just keep thanking Him for revealing them to you when He’s ready.  I’ve waited 30 years to do this blog.  Why? It didn’t exist 30+ years ago, but the Holy Spirit prophesied I would teach to multitudes in an open field – It took my Bible Study to remind me, this is that prophecy being fulfilled.

Make a covenant with God

Ezra 7:10  “For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the Lord, and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel.”

The Book of Ezra is special to me because I’ve learned what a great role model he is for the Christian today.  I was surprised how much I had in common with him.  For instance, his name means “helper,” and Sandra means “helper of mankind.”  Ezra was a Priest, in fact a direct descendant of Aaron, and a scribe who studied the Laws of Moses.  Like Ezra, I’m an ordained minister and constantly seek God in the Word to receive revelation knowledge and application from the Holy Spirit.  Like Ezra, I’ve made a commitment to God to study, practice, and teach.  Best of all, I’m sure that as Ezra studied he developed an intimate relationship with God, because I know I have.

Develop an intimate relationship

Galatians 5:22-23  “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:19-21  “Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissension’s, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these,...”

It’s not possible, to learn about someone’s likes and dislikes and not get closer to them.  As I learned about God’s character through the fruit of His Spirit, He became a person to me.  At the same time, because I wanted to please Him, old habits of the flesh started falling away.  The three, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, have become my Dad, Brother, Mother, Creator, Intercessor, Teacher, Protector, Healer, Guide in Life and so much more!
I especially like the term “practice” used by Ezra, because that is what we need to do.  No one can start by running in the Lord.  First we have to learn what He wants us to do, so we start with baby steps to build our self-confidence and that takes practice.  Ezra knew he would miss a step and fall at times, but he was determined to keep trying until he got it right.
In my case, years before women were allowed to minister, I felt the pull of God very strongly, but was unsure where to go.  So I promised God that whatever He would reveal to me in the Bible, I would try.  This commitment caused many attacks from the twerp, including strife and fear.  Would you believe, when God started teaching me about His healing powers, my husband, who was at that time a staunch conservative Baptist, believed I was following the devil and wanted me de-possessed!  I asked God if He knew what He was doing?  After all, His will is not divorce (Malachi 2:16).  In fact He hates it.  God laughed and said, “Keep learning.  ‘Practice what I’ve taught you.  You’re just under attack.  I’ll protect you,” and He did!  My husband and I have been married 25 years, and it’s become the best time of our lives.  If the Holy Spirit is teaching you, don’t worry about what’s going on around you - He will.
God also revealed to me that with every promise in His Word, there is a condition.  If I met that condition, then I would see the manifestation of His Word.
Just to give you an example, years ago I was reading the Bible and found, that if I saw two people fighting (my problem) and didn’t take sides (His condition), I could ask God to intercede (my application) and both people would be satisfied (His promise).  So I said, “Okay Lord.  Please show me a way to apply this.”

1) Problem - About two weeks later, my husband and landlord got into a dispute and I thought for sure we’d have to move.
2) Condition - Then I remembered asking God to put this situation in my path.  So I promptly reminded God of His Word and said I would not take sides.
3) Application - I then asked that God intervene and bless the situation as He said in His Word.
4) Promise - And guess what?  He did!  The landlord left smiling and so did my husband; both thought they had won.
God showed me that getting involved in a fight accomplished nothing.  But by the grace of God and my obedience - He settled the matter to His glory.
I have to admit, most of my knowledge comes from seeing something I needed in the Word, finding out what the condition is, and asking God to let me practice it.  Usually within a week or two tops it would happen and His Word always proved true.  That’s how I’ve learned to trust the Lord with all my heart.
That’s how I grew in my faith, by seeing the signs and wonders that He promised.  That’s why I’m assured that my God is a living God.  Yes, I fell on my face a few times (just a hundred or so).  But like Ezra I keep on practicing until I get it right.  Then I share the answer of God’s condition, my application, and His promise, to help others in similar situations.

Genesis 11:6And the Lord said, “Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same languageAnd this is what they began to do, and now nothing which they purpose to do will be impossible for them.”

Lately, the Lord has been showing me something about His knowledge through the Tower of Babel, (Gensis 11:1-9).  This may sound strange, but if you read about the Tower of Babel you’d see that because the people could communicate, agree, and share knowledge, nothing was impossible for them.   Talk about walking in the fullness of Him - Unity!
If we Christians could get to this place, we’d set the twerp on his rear end.  Then it would truly be on earth as it is in Heaven.  Amen!
In the meantime, we can access the body of Christ to gain knowledge through fellowship, books, and studies that teach what other Christians have practiced and overcome through years of seeking God’s answers.
Let me caution you here.  Be careful not to put your faith in man.  Not because they’re bad, but because they live in the same “muddy” body you have.  Always ask the Holy Spirit to teach you as you read anything because man is not perfect and will never have all the answers.  Only God does.
I would also caution you to check out what others say.  Only the Word is absolute, and we need the Holy Spirit to give us that understanding.  Never substitute your time in the Word with Christian reading, for when we see it in the Word, it builds our faith which gives us the assurances we need to stand.

2 Peter 1:2-3  “Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him...”

All the knowledge we need is given to us in the Bible.  As you learn, grace and peace are multiplied to you, so expect change.  You’ll become more equipped in God’s ways and better able to resist and defeat the enemy.
God in His divine power has granted us everything pertaining to life and godliness through the true knowledge of Him.  Don’t waste it!  Don’t hear something and assume it’s true.  Seek Him through His Word and let the Holy Spirit reveal to you the path to follow.
For those of you, who have read the Bible, let me exhort you to read it again and again.  Why?  Because every time you read it, the Holy Spirit show’s you more knowledge, in what you need to learn - right now.  And a week, month, or year from now, you will need even more.  The Word is a never ending source of revelation knowledge.  We require it as we grow from level to level in Him.

The key that unlocks your knowledge is this:

1) Get into the Word.  Knowledge will come from reading the Bible and other Christian books.  Remember, knowledge must be acquired and only then will you get understanding, leading to wisdom.
2) Make a date with God.  Spend at least fifteen minutes a day with Him, more if you can.
3) Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the Spiritual eyes or insight to understand what you’re reading, and how you should use it.
4) Ask God to create a situation, so that you can practice by applying His answer.
Your knowledge will turn to wisdom as you apply God’s Word in your life and see it work.  Then, it’s up to you to obey what He tells you to do or not.  Otherwise, you might sit in your comfort zone until the time of His return, never doing what you’ve been ordained to do.  And we know what happen when the man buried the Landlords' money.  He lost what he had.

Romans 8:28-30  “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purposeFor whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; and whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Your destiny is waiting for you!

Next Thursday, we’ll cover THE KEY #3 TO DEATH AND HADES from Chapter 8.  Yes, these are long, but I believe at the end, you’ll be empowered to [Ephesians 6:13 NASB] “Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” …STAND!

Blessings to all who read the blog and keep the Faith being AMAZED of how much more He has for you, as you seek new goals for 2018.  I promise you, there is so much more the Holy Spirit wants to reveal to you thru His Word.  I pray for ALL of you nightly.

Sandy F. – The Lord’s Servant
