Why Is “L O V E” Listed 348 Times In Bible?

Stagecoach, NV
Dear Brothers & Sisters,

The LOVE we to share is listed in the Old Testament [OT] 127 times and in the New Testament [NT] 188 times.  Why is it more in the NT, than the OT?  The OT didn’t have redemption through Jesus coming to them until after the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus.  They had to live by the Law of Moses.
Of course today, they have the same LOVE available to them as we do today.  Here are a few of the OT and NT on LOVE – most of these OT's tell the Lord how much they LOVE HIM:

[Psalms 18:1 NASB] “For the choir director. A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD, who spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul. And he said, "I love You, O LORD, my strength."
[Psalms 116:1 NASB] “I love the LORD, because He hears My voice and my supplications.
[Psalms 122:6 NASB] “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you.”
In the Psalms, it’s pretty much for Abba [Father] hearing their prayers [cry's] acknowledging their answers to their petitions.
Do you LOVE Abba for what He’s done for you – and have you told Him?  When you give a gift, don’t you appreciate it when that person acknowledges and thanks you for the gift you’ve given them?  I’m sure you do and so does Abba.

In the NT – they mostly tell of the LOVE for Abba working in their lives.  But I especially like the blessings we receive when we LOVE our NEIGHBOR, as ourselves [saved and unsaved].

[1 Corinthians 13:2 NASB] “If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.”
[1 Corinthians 2:9 NASB] “but just as it is written, "THINGS WHICH EYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM.”
[1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NASB] 4Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
[1 Corinthians 13:13 NASB] “But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.”
[1 Peter 4:8 NASB] “Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.”
1 Corinthians Chapter 13 is called the LOVE CHAPTER.  When you’re feeling down, depressed or just wondering why you should care about others, READ this chapter first.  It will uplift your spirit, if you change your thoughts to those on LOVE!  It would probably be a good idea to forgive them as well -  if necessary.
[Mark 11:26 NASB] “But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your transgressions.”  This will also work with Luke 6:38, “Give and it shall be given.”
The twerp [satan] may play the same games, like ALL the DIVISION going on in many nations, but it’s nothing new under our sun, he’s just gotten better at knowing people, who don’t have a relationship with Jesus.  That’s why our skies are so “spiritually dark” with the twerp’s ways.  We're the light of the world, but the lights are running dimmer.  So change your wattage to 100 or 150.
[Ecclesiasticus 1:9 NASB] “That which has been is that which will be, And that which has been done is that which will be done. So there is nothing new under the sun.”
If you are being attacked, pray and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the WORD to you.  It’s only then, will you receive the knowledge and wisdom you seek to terminate the terminator in your life!

Blessings to all, who read the blog and “study to show yourself approved, in His Word.”  Keep the Faith and be AMAZED how much more you learn, as you read and re-read the Bible.  I promise you, there is so much more the Holy Spirit wants to reveal to you, and your fellowship with Jesus will grow abundantly.  I pray for ALL of you nightly.
Sandy F. – The Lord’s Servant
