Why We Await Jesus’ Return

Stagecoach, NV
Dear Brothers & Sisters,
In the Jewish Wedding, a man will leave his home, no matter how far away, and go to her house asking her to marry him.  He tells his father he found his bride.  They go to ask her.  IF she say’s yes, they create a contract of what he will do and what she will do, then they both sign the contract (which becomes their wedding vows) and sip a cup of wine to seal the contract and he gives her a bride gift.  The Holy Spirit is the bride’s gift from our Lord Jesus.
NOTEJesus came from His home in Heaven to earth for His bride.
Then the man will go back home and prepare a place for her.  When his father approves that it’s done, then he tells his son to go get his bride.  In his finery (king like) he is carried by his best friends the long way to her house with musicians, so everyone can rejoice with them as he goes to gather his wife.  This process takes approximately one year in time that they do not see each other.
NOTEJohn 14:2In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you.  I go to prepare a place for you.”
During that time before they meet again, he sends her another gift, just to let her know he still wants to marry her and encourage her to have patience.

     NOTE: John 14:26 – 28 NKJ
26  “But the Comforter, even the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said unto you.
27  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
28  Ye heard how I said to you, I go away, and I come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.

So fear not, the Lord is never late.  His second gift is the Spiritual Gifts for each of us to receive.  While we wait, the Holy Spirit reminds and teaches us how to have a blessed marriage with our Lord.  He’s also to comfort us in times of trouble and remind us what the Word says about any situation to overcome it.  Think about how unique this is our conscious is actually the voice of our spirit that helps us to mature for our Husband to come.  So REJOICE ALWAYS HE HAS NEVER LEFT US! (Matthew 18:20  "For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

She’s also preparing her wedding dress (queen like).  Packing her hope chest for her new (unseen) home, saying goodbye to friends and family as the time draws near.  When she hears her husband coming, she gathers her maids and runs to her husband.  Then they are carried back to his home, to repeat the vows to each other and sip more wine, to seal their vows before others then the wedding feast.  After which they are enclosed in their new home for 7 days.
The bride is not seen for that time; occasionally the husband will come out and get food or drink, thanking the guests for coming.

NOTE: Luke 14:8-10 NKJ  This is the proper way, when you attend a Wedding Feast.
8  "When you are invited by anyone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in the best place, lest one more honorable than you be invited by him;
9  and he who invited you and him come and say to you, ‘Give place to this man,’ and then you begin with shame to take the lowest place.
10  But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you.”

Keep in mind it’s the only time they do not work.  Back then, they didn’t have honeymoons, vacations, etc.  They worked sun-up to sun-down every day.  He didn’t use a  tractor to plant the crops or harvest them, nor does she go to a store to buy bread, or have ready made clothes for her hubby and kids.  Everything for both of them is created from scratch.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 NKJ
1 “Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,
not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come.”

So our job until He comes for His Bride [US], is to be trained, preach the Gospel, then use the gifts he gave us to reveal His saving Grace and Love to the world – so they will believe to.  Our trials are what makes us mature, because we seek His answers for them - IF we're smart.  That’s also how we develop a relationship today with our future Husband.

Blessings to all of you - see you Thursday, the Lord willing.  I’ll continue to pray for you Ephesians 1:18-19.

Ephesians 1:18-19 NASB
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believeThese are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might
