The Dead Saints Rose With Jesus!

SF, Stagecoach, NV

Before the Death of Christ
Luke 16:19-31 – Lazarus & Rich Man.  Separation of Hades & Paradise.
Luke 16:23  And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
Luke 16:25-26  But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things: but now here he is comforted, and thou art in anguish.  And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that they that would pass from hence to you may not be able, and that none may cross over from thence to us.

After Death of Christ - Out of the Tomb for the Old Timers (OT)
Matthew 27:51-53  We are no longer separated from God by our sin.

Strong’s Concordance says:
2665 katapetasma katapetasma kat-ap-et'-as-mah
from a compound of 2596 and a congener of 4072; TDNT-3:628,420; n n
AV-veil 6; 6
1) a veil spread out, a curtain
1a) the name given to the two curtains in the temple at Jerusalem, one of them at the entrance to the temple separated the Holy Place from the outer court, the other veiled the Holy of Holies from the Holy Place

Matthew: 27:52-53  and the tombs were opened; and many bodies of the saints that had fallen asleep were raised; and coming forth out of the tombs after his resurrection they entered into the holy city and appeared unto many.
Resurrection in this case is not the Greek word #386 in Strong’s, where Jesus raised the dead in His ministry or when Jesus resurrected, but the Greek word here is #1454, meaning a rousing, excitation or a rising up or resurrection from the dead.  So we see that many of the saints (who lived by the laws of Moses – in fact Moses himself) walked the earth for a short time with Jesus
Note, we’re told that there will be no more tears in haven (Isa 25:8).  Can you imaging having to see your loved ones tormented continuously in Hades while you’re in Paradise?  Wouldn’t that torment you?  It makes sense that God would not want us to see this continuously after death, while we wait for the 2nd coming.  Also read Job 14, where it tells us that “any man born of a woman” will sleep until His coming.

Additional Scriptures to Refer to:
Isaiah 25:8  He hath swallowed up death for ever; and the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people will he take away from off all the earth: for Jehovah hath spoken it.
Hosea 13:14  I will ransom them from the power of Sheol; I will redeem them from death: O death, where are thy plagues? O Sheol, where is thy destruction?  Repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.
John 5:25  Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour cometh, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live
1 Corinthians 15:20  But now hath Christ been raised from the dead, the first fruits of them that are asleep.
1 Thessalonians 4:15  14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also that are fallen asleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we that are alive, that are left unto the coming of the Lord, shall in no wise precede them that are fallen asleep.
