READ - Genesis Chapter 7 & 8
This is the
story of one righteous man left on the earth and what God does about it. These insights into God show His true love
for us. We also see how down through the
generations the story was changed.
Finally we see what Noah and his family did when he got off the ark to
literally start over as Adam and Eve.

e Christians think we know how the twerp (satan) deceives
us. We were taught the “Easter bunny” and
“Santa” and some tell our children the truth, how these are pagen gods, that the world accepts, but boy did I miss this one as a child! I wonder how many other Christians missed
this and in fact, have continued the lie unknowingly? All the movies made and story’s told about
Noah’s Ark , tell how the animals
went in 2 by 2. So for generations,
we’ve been snookered! Here is the
TRUTH of what God did and why.
Genesis 7:2-3 “You shall take
with you of Every Clean animal
by Sevens, a male and
his female (the Hebrew Bible says “a male
and his mate”) and of the animals that are Not Clean Two a male and his female; also of the
birds, by sevens, male and female to keep offspring alive on the face of
all the earth.” (The Hebrew Bible says to keep the seed alive.)
First
TRUTH is that 7 males and 7 females entered Noah’s ark of the
“clean” animals and birds, but only 1 male and 1 female of the “unclean” were
saved. This ratio is important because
it’s how God is dealing with us. We know
that 7 is God’s number, for in Genesis
2:2 after God created the earth, He rested on the seventh day. The word
seven is in the bible 394 times and the word seventh is listed 115
times from Genesis through Revelation.
The number 7 represents a FINISHED or COMPLETED WORK
by God. So by eliminating telling about
the 7 male/female “clean” animals and birds, we emphasizes the “unclean”
animals and God’s lack. Children see
this as a “story of God” that gives us a rainbow. But as adults, we wonder if God didn’t make
our life harder, and starting from almost scratch including the unclean as they multiplied on earth.
Second
TRUTH is that since the beginning of time, it was NEVER GOD’S WILL
to separate a husband and wife, even if they are animals. Why else would He take the male with his
mate?
Genesis 8:15-22 - Then God spoke
to Noah... Bring out every living thing...that they may breed abundantly on the
earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth. Then Noah built an altar to the Lord...took
of every clean animal and bird and offered burnt offerings.... While the earth remains, SEEDTIME AND
HARVEST...shall not cease.
Third
TRUTH the unclean animals were not acceptable to God for eating or
sacrifice. Imagine if Noah only saved “unclean” animals - they would certainly
multiply quickly because Noah and his family would starve to death, for even
the plant life needed time to regrow on the earth.
Fourth
TRUTH God wanted the “SEED” to continue on the earth. Are we not the “seed” of Abraham, who was the
seed of Noah, who was the seed of Adam?
God wanted ALL SEED to be fruitful
and multiply in abundance, not just the animals and birds.
Fifth
TRUTH God provided for Noah and his family as He does for you. When God provides, He gives you more than you
need plus the tithe (offering) He requires of you. After Noah released the birds and animals
(obeying God), he built an altar and offered a burnt offering to the Lord. Notice that God SMELLED the soothing aroma
and said to Himself never again will I curse the ground on account of man or
destroy every living thing. Now that
makes me feel better! 1) God talks to Himself just like I do. 2) When God is pleased by our offerings, His
anger is removed along with the curse upon our finances, then He blesses us for
He forgives us and rebukes the devoured for our sake Malachi 3:11.
The bottom line of this story is....
·
God SAVES the righteous man.
·
God provides for the righteous man.
·
God’s anger is soothed because of our offering.
·
God wants us to be fruitful and multiply in
abundance.
The BIBLE is a book that God has given us to LEARN from. To teach us “how God rules” in His kingdom
and to show us “how the people” in the Old/New Testament obeyed or disobeyed
and the outcome.
When you see the words “KINGDOM
OF GOD” in the Bible, try thinking the words “WAY OF GOD” for that is truly what it means. Matthew
6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom (way) of God,
and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. So we’re told here
1) seek what God wants, 2) accomplish what you do in righteousness and 3) when
you do, all your needs God will give to you. - WHAT AN AWESOME GOD WE HAVE -

Remember, Genesis 17:7 And I
will establish my covenant between me
and thee and thy seed after thee throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God
unto thee and to thy seed after thee. Hebrews 7:22 so much more also Jesus has become the
guarantee of a better covenant.
May the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to
you.
Blessings & Peace, Peace
