Matthew 19 - What Jesus Wants Us To Know

SF Stagecoach, NV
Dear Brothers, Sisters, Prodigals and Unsaved,
Our Lessons in Matthew will always contain topics such as; Living Life, Healings, Miracles, Deliverance and more.  Today we'll learn; through His Word, seeing what we need to know.  Concerning Divorce, Jesus Blesses Little Children, The Rich Young Ruler  [taxes], and The Disciples Rewards.
There is always more to learn..., - Abba [God], wants to reveal Himself to you.  Knowing that the truth will set you FREE.  That's why Jesus, through His Word, reveals to us what His Father [Abba] told Him daily, what to do and say.  The World, is the twerp's [satan's] playground. But if you know your authority, he can't play with you.
These chapters I know are getting awfully long, so I'm going to list the scripture, for those of you who do not have a Bible, but only comment on the verses that I feel need more explanation for today.
Verse  NOTE: ALL meanings are from Strong's Concordance, unless marked otherwise.
19:1-12  Concerning Divorce:
·       [Mat 19:1-2 NKJV] 1 "Now it came to pass, when Jesus had finished these sayings, [that] He departed from Galilee and came to the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. 2 And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them there."
    Verse 2
, Many followed Jesus to hear what else He had to say.  Just like we go to seminars of the Ministers we like and follow.  But also see, that any of them that were sick; spirit, soul or body - were healed.  I listed the 3 ways we can need healing, because it doesn't specify here, who or what type of healing was done.  Jesus' healing is for all who come to Him - [Isaiah 53:1-7].  It doesn't take a special place i.e., church to be healed.  Healing from Jesus, isn't subject to your religious affiliations; Presbyterian, Lutheran, Pentecostal, etc., just that 1) You ask for healing, and 2) believing He's able to heal you.  Time or place does not matter,
    [
Mark 11:24 NKJV] 24 "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive [them], and you will have [them]".
·        [Matthew 19:3-9 NKJV] 3 "The Pharisees also came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for [just] any reason?" 4 And He answered and said to them, "Have you not read that He who made [them] at the beginning 'made them male and female,' 5 "and said, 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh'? 6 "So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." 7 They said to Him, "Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?" 8 He said to them, "Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 "And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery."
Do you think, you're the only one who gets tested?  Jesus did by all the leaders; Sadducee's, Pharisees and Scribes.  All who knew the words, but not the meanings or application.  They were still living under the Old Covenant.
Today, it's so easy to get a divorce - but it's not Abba's [God's] will.  Abba made Adam and Eve - not Adam and Steve.  All this changing your sex orientation is totally against Abba creation.
[Mark 10:7-8 NKJV] 7 'For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, 8 'and the two shall become one flesh'; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh."
Do you think Abba wanted us to get this?  Is that why He had the same words written, by two different Apostles?
Moses saw the hardness of their hearts, and probably heard the complaining of the men. In this case, Abba is adamant about divorce - He HATES it.
    [Malachi
2:16 NKJV] "For the LORD God of Israel says That He hates divorce, For it covers one's garment with violence," Says the LORD of hosts. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, That you do not deal treacherously."
Society today; doesn't think twice about getting a divorce.  The laws make it so easy, the only winners are the lawyers.  Kids suffer, one of the spouses suffer; emotionally, financially, drastic lifestyle changes, etc., - for both male and female.  It's a topic that the church stays away from.  They are just letting Abba judge the circumstances. In case you're wondering, No, I've never been divorced - not that it wasn't thought of a few times in 25 years of marriage.
Should you get a divorce, be sure not to deal treacherously.  Split everything 50/50 you'll need to forgive to stay friends until the kids are grown and on their own.
·       [Matthew 19:10-12 NKJV] 10 "His disciples said to Him, "If such is the case of the man with [his] wife, it is better not to marry." 11 But He said to them, "All cannot accept this saying, but only [those] to whom it has been given: 12 "For there are eunuchs who were born thus from [their] mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He who is able to accept [it], let him accept [it]."
This Scripture is also a tough one, battles have been fought over it - even today in the Religious Realm.  Men nor women were ever created to be alone.  The Lutheran church left the Catholic Church because they felt they should be allowed to marry.  The disciples were married.  Priests or Nuns [all humans], were created to multiply and subdue the earth in Genesis.
It seems the only way to remove your fleshly desires, is to become a eunuch and have a woman's colitis removed as some countries do in the middle east to little girls.
Very few could accept this saying [verse 11], especially with our kids learning younger and younger.  They are tempted with the movies, games, schools giving them condoms, etc.  The eyes are the windows of our soul.  Pupils never lie.  People often call eyes the windows to the soul. ... But when people fake a smile, they usually forget about their eyes. If the eye is the window into the soul, the pupil is—quite literally—an opening into the eye.
19:13-15  Jesus Blesses Little Children:
  • [Matthew 19:13-15 NKJV] 13 "Then little children were brought to Him that He might put [His] hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. 14 But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." 15 And He laid [His] hands on them and departed from there."
Heaven help the person who forbids one to go to church, or hurts one of Jesus' little ones.  I always have believed, that children have a very strong prayer power, because Jesus is always saying they are the kingdom of Heaven.  Or, Heaven is made for these little ones.  Again, He laid hands on them before He departed.  So, laying hands on someone is not always for healing.  It can be done for Blessing, deliverance, restoration, etc., also.
I love the song, "HE TOUCHED ME" He touched me, He touched me and oh the joy that filled my soul.  Something happened and now I know, He touched me and made me whole.
 19:16-26 The Rich Young Ruler:
·       [Matthew 19:16-26 NKJV] 16 "Now behold, one came and said to Him, "Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?" 17 So He said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one [is] good but One, [that is], God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments." 18 He said to Him, "Which ones?" Jesus said, "'You shall not murder,' 'You shall not commit adultery,' 'You shall not steal,' 'You shall not bear false witness,' 19 'Honor your father and [your] mother,' and, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' " 20 The young man said to Him, "All these things I have kept from my youth. What do I still lack?" 21 Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions. 23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 "And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." 25 When His disciples heard [it], they were greatly astonished, saying, "Who then can be saved?" 26 But Jesus looked at [them] and said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
Verse 10: Until the death and resurrection, the rules were the same - 10 Commandments.  Remember it says, "if you stumble in one of them, your guilty in all of them. [James 2:10]
Verse 17:  Jesus never took the glory for what He did on earth.  He always gave it to the Father.
Verse 20:  Do you still lack?  Are you unsure of what it is or to get it?
[Matthew 7:7 NKJV]  "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
Yes, ASK the Holy Spirit to tell you what IT IS?  SEEK your answers in the Word, Declare and do what the Word said, then the door will be OPENED, that the Holy Spirit has been KNOCKING [waiting] on you for.  The Holy Spirit is called OUR HELPER, and that's what He wants to do.  But we have to work with Him, that's the only way to get it done.
[John 14:26 NKJV] "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you."
Verse 21: Being perfect, is not an easy job!  It sounds like a full time Missionary to me.  Did you know, you can be a missionary; at any store, workplace, literally any place you go.  Just tell someone your Testimony [story].  People love stories and become amazed by your outcome.  Then ask them if you can pray for them.  If they say YES, then ask the Lord to heal or send whatever they need.  If they say NO, just bless them and walk away.  Each time Jesus healed someone, He always asked what they needed, or desired of Him.
[Revelation 12:11 NKJV] "And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death."
Verse 23: The last thing a rich man would want to do, is sell all he has and give it to the poor.  I would hope most people would know, you can't take it with you.  A rich man could give Abba 10% of what he makes and that would go a long way to help others, including himself - Abba promises to protect the 90% from the enemy for you.  Also, they could go above the 10% and give an offering, which will earn them; some 30-60-100 fold interest - and no bank will give you that return!
[Mark 4:20 NKJV] "But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept [it], and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred."
Verse 23:  It's no surprise to Abba, how hard it is for a rich man.  BUT we'd all be better financially off - if we did Tithes and Offerings.
Verse 25:  Even the disciples wondered who could be saved.  Because none of them obeyed 100% of the 10 Commandments - in their lifetime.
Verse 26:  There is NO WAY ANY HUMAN can prepare themselves to be perfect, that's exactly the reason Jesus had to come, if He wanted a bride, so here's what He did...
[Ephesians 5:26-27 NKJV] 26 "that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish."
So by Jesus' coming and shedding His blood for us on the cross, He sanctified and cleansed us of all sin, then washed us, with the water of the Word.  Now we has no spots or wrinkles.  But become Holy and without blemish - ready for our Groom.  And NO DIVORCE IN HEAVEN! [haha]
27-30  The Disciples Reward:
·       [Matthew 19:27-30 NKJV] 27 "Then Peter answered and said to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?" 28 So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. 30 "But many [who are] first will be last, and the last first."
Verse 27: Good ole Peter says the obvious to Jesus, reminding Him that they left ALL to follow Him and what will be their reward?
Verse 28: At the "regeneration" {meaning: the spiritual re-birth].  There will be 12 thrones and they will be the Judges of the 12 tribes of Israel.  Being a judge is quit an accomplishment from their Discipleship [training] roles then.
Verse 29:  But ALL who left everything to follow Jesus will also receive 100 fold [fold= multiplied by what you gave 100 times] and have eternal life.  With ALL the promises of a spectacular Heavenly life.
Verse 30:  Unfortunately, many who think they should be first will be last, and the those who think of themselves being last will be first.  I believe this is an issue of the trials, obedience and their humbleness.
[Luke 14:10 NKJV] "But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, 'Friend, go up higher.' Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you."

I do believe this worked out better for both of us.  For me only 4 typed pages, before 6-8 and I'm sure it will be less eye strain on you, as you read the blogs, let me know what you think.  Thank You so much, for liking these blogs.  Should you have a topic you'd like discussed - email me and let me know.
My prayer 4 U:  Father, in Jesus' Name I'm asking You to reveal, to Your Children, how to think from Heaven's perspective, so they can release Heavenly solutions in their lives and help others, help them NOT TO LEAD with their headbut with the heart of JESUS!  -  In Jesus' Name - AMEN! and AMEN!

Blessing to ALL,
Sandy - The Lord's Servant
