Throughout this
series, I will not use "satan" (except if it's in a scripture), I will call him the twerp.
For to me, he’s a rat looking for a place to steal, kill or destroy our
relationship with our Lord Jesus, yet the Lord’s will is “3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in
all things and be in health, just as your soul (emotions/will/mind) prospers.” Who
would you prefer to follow, life (Lord’s Word) or death (the twerp’s worldly way to separate
you from Lord)?
Topic #2: Dealing With Worry and
Anxiety:
All of us have
been either watching the news, or listening to others talk about what’s going
on around the world. ISIS, Turkey ,
Egypt , Syria ,
America , Greece
and more. Plus water & food shortages,
world economies crashing, hurricanes, earthquakes, Tsunamis from one extreme to
another around the world.
The days we’re
living in, are not easy nor will they be easier for non-Christians. Christians & Messianic Jews have
the Word to overcome the twerp, Revelation 12:11 And
they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because
of the word of their testimony; and they loved not their life even unto
death.” Why? Because greater is He that is in us, than he
that is in the world. So we should be
praising God for ALL things (1 John 45:4)

Why
are you consumed with Anxiety?

One reason God commands us not to worry or
be anxious is because of the toll it takes on us physically &
mentally. Read these Scriptures and see
what favor God gives us when we do what He says.

Worry is basically an attitude of the mind
in reaction to the circumstances and life for they can become a habit of
destruction.
Proverbs
23:7 “For as he thinketh within himself, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he
to thee; But his heart is not with thee.”
The Lord in Philippians
4:6-8 encourages us to think & speak.

Controlling our thoughts begins by
realizing that we choose with our will, how we think. Both Romans
8:5 & Colosssians 3:2 say to
“set your mind” Ephesians
4:23
says to “be renewed in the spirit of your
mind.”
What does 2 Corinthians
10:5b say we should do with our thoughts?

As we yield ourselves
and thoughts to God, we can experience the control of God’s Holy Spirit. Being controlled by the Spirit is an act of
our will.

Don’t let a lack of knowledge defeat you –
we’re to become equipped to know what’s coming and how to deal with the enemy
and how to make our choices. (Ephesians 4:11-12)
Application: Share you worry with your prayer group and pray for each other.
Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, we bring our worries and anxieties to You. Give us release from this bondage as we seek to surrender our thoughts and emotions to Your control. In Jesus Name Amen.
I’ll
continue Friday 10/9/15 “Topic
#3 -Dealing With Fear In A Godly Way”.
