He was born a Stranger
And was laid in a manger.
The world unaware of their King.
The angels announced Him,
Shepherd's came and worshiped Him,
Magi their gifts they did bring.
He grew up in favor,
And few men did savor
The teachings He taught to them.
So they brought Him to trial,
As all the while
The world shouted, "Crucify Him".
He spoke not a word
When the sentence He heard,
"Take Him to Calvary".
So He hung on a cross
For a world that is lost
In their sins and wickedness.
But He arose again:
Victor over men's sins.
Atoning man's sinful soul.
Now He's back in His Kingdom,
And in Him we have freedom;
No longer a slave to the world.
Now to some He's no Stranger,
And lies no more in a manger,
But sits as King upon His thrown.
And to all who believe Him,
He with joy receives them
And together becomes heirs of God.
